The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) states that cheap electricity from renewable sources could provide 65 percent of the world\u2019s total electricity supply by 2030. Moreover, it stated that such sources can potentially decarbonize 90 percent of the power sector by 2050. Such a massive reduction in carbon emissions can and should play a key role in substantially helping to mitigate climate change and the damage it has and is causing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Historically, one of the greatest challenges to the renewable energy generation sector has been the intermittency of energy sources, for example, of the availability of adequate wind and sunlight, exacerbated by the difficulty and cost of safely storing and transporting power so produced over long distances. There are, however, viable solutions to these challenges: e.g., renewable electricity (electrons) can be converted and stored in the form of hydrogen (molecules) and transported to the point of use. And that is where H<sub>2<\/sub>-Industries\u00b4 technology comes into play.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Making Renewable Energy available when and where it is needed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H<sub>2<\/sub>-Industries\u00b4 technology can store renewable energy, at the production site, and, then, transport it safely and economically, to off-takers. In an integrated process, using electricity generated from solar and wind farms, energy is first converted into hydrogen using H<sub>2<\/sub>-Industries\u2019 <strong>eSTORE<\/strong> technology. This clean hydrogen is then chemically bound in <strong>LOHC<\/strong> (Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier), which allows the renewable energy from solar and wind, now converted into hydrogen, to be stored in a medium which can be transported safely and economically to off-takers wherever located.
