With 90 percent of the world trade in goods, it is at the heart of globalization and prosperity. However, shipping causes around one billion tons of CO<sub>2<\/sub> annually, equal to almost 3 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. If international shipping were a country, it would rank sixth among the top emitters of CO<sub>2<\/sub>. In addition, there is private shipping, which with luxury yachts represents a much smaller proportion of global CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions, but which is arguably dispensable from an ecological point of view.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to stop global warming and climate change, commercial and private shipping must find ways to do without fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H<sub>2<\/sub>-Enterprises has technologies for production, storage and conversion of clean hydrogen into electrical or thermal energy that can already be used in large-scale industrial projects. Large quantities of clean hydrogen can already be produced without CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions (<a href=\"https:\/\/h2-industries.com\/en\/waste-to-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waste-to-Hydrogen)<\/a>, transported safely and inexpensively to any location and used there, among other things, for the CO<sub>2<\/sub>-emission free production of electrical energy (<a href=\"https:\/\/h2-industries.com\/en\/lohc-technology-overview\/\">LOHC)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/h2-industries.com\/en\/\">H<sub>2<\/sub>-Enterprises Group<\/a> will also offer this technology &#8211; in cooperation with the shipbuilding industry &#8211; as a complete system solution <strong>eRELEASE<\/strong> for shipping. Commercial and private ships can then switch their energy supply completely to hydrogen and become independent of fossil fuels. For this purpose, the clean hydrogen produced by H<sub>2<\/sub>-Enterprises is stored in the carrier medium LOHC (Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier), delivered to the existing ship fueling stations and from there refueled by the ships &#8211; just like today&#8217;s fossil fuel. The carrier medium LOHC can be safely stored in conventional tanks at ambient conditions on the ship. The clean hydrogen bound in the LOHC is then released via <strong>eRELEASE<\/strong> systems located in the ship\u00b4s engine room and converted into up to 48kW of electrical power per <strong>eRELEASE<\/strong> unit &#8211; as required and of course modularly scalable. The discharged LOHC is simply exchanged for charged LOHC at the next refueling.
